IsItGoneDown.com checks whether a website is genuinely down for everyone, or whether the issue is on your side. We test each URL from a server-side proxy (global reachability) and directly from your browser (local reachability) to give you the most accurate result possible.

How does the check work?

We send a request through the allorigins.win proxy — a third-party server-side service — to test global reachability. We also run a direct browser fetch to test your local connection. Together these give us: down for everyone, down just for you, or partially reachable.

What if a site is up globally but down for me?

The issue is likely your ISP, a firewall, DNS, or a geographic block. Try clearing your cache, flushing DNS (ipconfig /flushdns on Windows), or using a VPN to route around the issue.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your check history, votes, and any email you enter are stored only in your browser's localStorage. We don't log or store any of it on our servers.
